You might already have heard of Starling, a light-weight persistent queue server that speaks the memcache protocol and that powers Twitter (when it’s up).
Now, let me introduce to you, Peafowl, a Starling port in python, fully compatible with Starling queue log.

You can use it if you can’t bear ruby, or just by using a memcache client to access starling/peafowl server within your python code.
